Feeling Good

Post  Moderator on Fri Feb 01, 2013 7:57 am

Ok so Nina Simone with 'Feeling Good' is a classic and such a great song but it's always sounded like a sad song to me, maybe a hopeful song. I have to say I 'think' I much prefer the Muse version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmwRQqJsegw

I do love the delicate little keys though on Nina Simone's

Anyhoo opinions Smile

Feeling Good (original) - Cy Grant feat. Bill LeSage 1964

"Feeling Good" (also known as "Feelin' Good") is a song written by English singer-songwriters Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse for the 1965 musical The Roar of the Greasepaint - The Smell of the Crowd starring Cy Grant, who sang the original version of the song."

The original has it's own special "cool" 60's vibe - but on balance I think I prefer Nina Simone.

Cheers Bryan, never heard that version before. Definitely prefer the Nina version to that though ;-)

Canadian crooner Michael Buble also did a wellknown version of the song ,a good version ,maybe a bit to James Bond style.
