About a month ago one of my chickens went broody so I popped two fertile duck eggs under her from the farm down the road and hey presto 28 days later two little duckies hatched Smile 

Here's a little vid of them taking their first bath today and mum wasn't best pleased with me taking her babies away but they're all snuggled up in their coop now I love you

I wonder what mum is thinking...
I dont remember even meeting a duck!
My my they look odd for chickens!
What happened to the rubber glove on the head look?
Why do they look so non chicken?
They are suffering from flatfoot. lol!

Not yet, I need to sex them first but one of them is suppose to be going to live with one of my friends ducks and chooks but I don't think I can let any of them go Sad  

I've been thinking of names, maybe some unisex names too or not, I have no problem with a guy being called Shirley or whatever My duckies have hatched and taking their first swim 152378439 Of course they have to be named after rock stars or maybe a blues singer. Ideas?

Still no names but I was thinking maybe Duck Dunn 'The Bassist' for one of them My duckies have hatched and taking their first swim 450141532  I'm gonna put some coloured leg rings on them today so they can be violet duckie and red duckie until I decide, it's a very serious and important decision you know Wink
