So who's the star of your new band SuperHeavy, Sir Mick?
They are some of the planet’s most talented musicians.
But looking at this first picture of SuperHeavy, Sir Mick Jagger’s new band, there’s no doubt who sees himself as the main attraction.
The Rolling Stones frontman stood out from his grey-clad bandmates – Eurythmics guitarist Dave Stewart, soul singer Joss Stone, Bob Marley’s son Damian and Oscar-winning Indian composer A.R. Rahman – in a bright blue jacket.
Suggestions of a tour will fuel speculation over the future of the Stones, especially with a rift thought to have grown between Sir Mick and guitarist Keith Richards over critical comments in the latter’s autobiography.
Here the Mail profiles the five musicians in SuperHeavy:
1. SIR MICK JAGGER
Age: 67
Famous for: Frontman of Rolling Stones.
Highs: 200million album sales, as well as the biggest-grossing tour ever. He himself is worth £190million.
Lows: Last solo album in 2001 peaked at No 44 in the UK charts.
2. DAMIAN MARLEY
Age: 32
Famous for: Reggae musician and youngest son of the late Bob Marley and 1976 Miss World Cindy Breakspeare.
Highs: Won three Grammy awards.
Lows: Despite critical acclaim has failed to match his father’s huge success, especially in the UK.
3. DAVE STEWART
Age: 58
Famous for: Being half of 1980s chart-toppers Eurythmics alongside Annie Lennox.
Highs: Three Ivor Novello Awards plus a Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution To British Music.
Lows: Directing Honest, a 2000 flop film starring girl group All Saints.
4. A.R. RAHMAN
Age: 45
Famous for: Described by Time magazine as world’s most prominent film composer.
Highs: Won two Oscars in 2009 for work on Slumdog Millionaire.
Lows: The least well known of the new Famous Five.
5. JOSS STONE
Age: 24
Famous for: Won a BBC talent contest aged 14 before finding stardom in UK and U.S. with debut soul album.
Highs: More than 11million albums sold worldwide plus two Brits and one Grammy award.
Lows: The intended victim of an alleged violent robbery plot near her Devon home last month.
