RIP Otis 9th September 1941 – 10th December 1967
44 years ago today, American soul singer and songwriter Otis Redding was killed in a plane crash at age 26. Redding and his band had made an appearance in Cleveland, Ohio, on the local Upbeat television show the previous day. The plane carrying Redding and his band crashed at 3:28 p.m. into icy waters of Lake Monoma near Madison, Wisconsin. Redding was killed in the crash along with members from the The Bar-Kays – Jimmy King, Ron Caldwell, Phalin Jones and Carl Cunningham. Trumpet player Ben Cauley was the only person to survive the crash.

Good work Chris... 1 of many I should get my head & fingers around.. It's the run-down dun, dun, dun, dun I've had trouble with.... I've always had a soft spot for Try A Little Tenderness, ever since the film Pretty In Pink & Duckie's rendition in the record shop.. Classic Hmmmm.... may just go peak at the possible chords ty
