Yes Sir Boss.. Exeter Cavern, 28/11/2011
After dragging myself out from behind the sofa last Friday night, I took myself off to see Yes Sir Boss!!! after hearing the rave's & seeing the video's over the last 2 weeks of me being on the net & I wasn't disappointed..
Although I hadn't read the bill poster properly, worked out show times or even found a friend to go with, I did manage to get to the near 12am start of the set. If anyone was there, I was the odd chap stalking about, supping a J20, trying not to give myself a hardtime I eventually found a dark corner & set in for show
The show..
Right from the off, the DJ's done there work good & injected nuff nrg into an already partying crowd, photo's taken, stuff sorted, the Band hit the ground running & never looked back.. I'd love to be able to say that the night's rendition of Nah,Nah,Nah was...?!? but I wouldn't have a clue.. The band played, the people danced & partied & everyone, including the ageing 1 in the corner(me) had a Great time
One slight downer was that it was over too soon, but hey, that come with age
& I can't wait.. Mama Stone, December.. I'll be there
Another slight oddity , though the thing that made my night was the fact that the gig was a CD launch party, they were all out of CD's.. I can away with a 7" vinyl "Western Boy Blues" single with "Pretty Thing" as the A side & my record deck still works
All in all a Top night, with a Top band, in a Top venue
