I have not been paying attention to the news lately, but I did watch BBC news tonight and heard about these/this storm.

That is suppose to be Florida's game... Hope everyone is okay. St. Jude's day storms 3446098708

I live on the east coast. I initially thought it had passed us by - but then we had a bit of a "blow" mid-morning. Other places had a worse experience though.

We were suppose to be hit the worst in the West Country. There was a bit of flooding but nothing too unusual and the storm never seemed to happen here. I saw a couple of broken small branches but thats about it. Nothing like 1987 at all cheers

An not the heavy rain like you had a year ago, (or maybe 2)? Well that is good. Mother nature can be pretty nasty sometimes. Rolling Eyes  Very Happy

Here on the east coast it rained - but nothing out of the ordinary for October Very Happy

In 1987 I was on night shift.  I couldn't get home due to all the roads being blocked with fallen trees Shocked

'87 sounds like a bad one.
Where I'm at in Florida, we get hurricanes.  Thankfully we haven't had any bad one's in years.

I've only stayed for the edge of a few minor one's.   If it is a big hurricane, it is best to drive out of the state.  Whatever is going to happen will happen whether you are there or not, so no point in staying.   They don't move fast directionally, so you can easily outpace them.  St. Jude's day storms 377648379 Very Happy
